Enjoy your stay in our 1840's Guest House
Deveron House is a Georgian Town House, built in the 1840's. Originally  the residence of a university professor it has served many purposes in the past 175 years. Since taking over Deveron House in 2005 we have had many visitors who have simply wanted to revisit their past.
For a number of years some of Scotlands top football referees stayed at Deveron House. Jim Valentine knocked the door one day asking if he could look round. During our first year we had to reshuffle the entire diary to accommodate one of golfs greats and a true gentleman - John Panton. Mr Panton always stayed in Room 2 and we couldn't let him down. Mr Panton was an absolute delight and we are thrilled we had the opportunity to spend time with him before his passing.
More than once we have encountered members of the public who you take for granted are looking for a room. Every now and again they tell you that's not the case, they tell you "no - my granny lived here, I used to visit her." Most memorably that line came from a woman in her 80s.
For todays visitors it is the central but quiet location that is of most significance. With free parking outside, Deveron House  is the perfect place to stay should you wish to leave the car at the front door and stroll around our historic and quaint town.
